21st Annual Knock Out Abuse Gala featured on Dr. Phil
On December 15, 2014, Knock Out Abuse was featured on the Dr. Phil Show, which reaches 4.6 million viewers. The segment focused on the prevention of domestic violence and the resources available for victims of abuse. 2014 Knock Out Abuse Honoree Mrs. Robin McGraw spoke about her Foundation “When Georgia Smiled” and the new “ASPIRE” app powered by Yahoo! that enables victims of domestic violence to push a button and send a distress call to pre-selected friends and family requesting immediate assistance.
Robin commended Knock Out Abuse for 22 years of service and $9 million raised to support women and children survivors of domestic violence. A clip of the 21st Annual Knock Out Abuse Gala including Robin’s acceptance speech accompanied the segment.
