Eric Stone Williams, III
Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer
Eric
is responsible for effective and efficient operation of the Walker
Marchant Group. In addition he manages the strategic planning process,
leadership development, human resources, facilities management, information
technology, budget and finance.
Eric brings more than 25 years of successful leadership experience to
WMG. In 2000, Eric started a management consulting firm where he worked
with organizations and executives throughout the country to improve their
overall effectiveness. Prior
to starting the consulting business, Eric spent 20 years with American Express
Financial Advisors (AEFA), now known as Ameriprise Financial Services. As
a group vice president with AEFA he was responsible for the overall leadership
of 210 financial advisors, 33,000 clients and more than $14 billion in client
assets under management, throughout parts of Virginia and West Virginia. He
was consistently recognized as a corporate leader in client service and employee
satisfaction, while annually meeting his growth objectives.
Eric has always been very committed to the community where he resides
and has volunteered for many organizations throughout his career
including the New Jersey Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Commission
(appointed by the Governor); assisting the Athletic Director at Martha's
Vineyard Regional High School; Chairman of the Board of the Leaguers,
a community based organization in N.J. and Commissioner of the Chamberlayne
Youth Basketball League in Virginia.
Eric holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts,
Amherst and a Certification in Financial Planning (CFP) from
the College of Financial Planning in Denver, CO. He is a former Division I Basketball Player at UMASS, where
he was team captain during his senior year. Originally from South Orange, N.J.,
he is married and has two lovely children.
