Almina Khorakiwala
Chief of Staff
As chief of staff, Almina Khorakiwala is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the firm. In addition, she manages the strategic planning process, human resources, facilities management and budget and finance for the Walker Marchant Group.
Almina started at the Walker Marchant Group as an account coordinator, where she worked on several clients including Johnson & Johnson, Park Hyatt, and Sodexho USA. Later, as an assistant account executive, she provided support to senior-level executives through media outreach, media monitoring and analysis, and in-depth research.
Almina continues to play a vital role in the writing and development of communications strategies and materials, as well as business development. With a background in event management, she works with clients to plan corporate and social functions.
Prior to joining Walker Marchant, Almina was a correspondence assistant and the internship coordinator for U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer in her Capitol Hill office. Almina’s responsibilities included managing some of Senator Boxer’s key policy issues such as women’s rights, immigration, health care and environmental issues. As internship coordinator, Almina oversaw all details of the program.
Almina is the Chair of the Women’s Information Network (WIN), Washington’s premier professional, political, and social network dedicated to empowering young, Democratic, pro-choice women. In addition, Almina holds elected office in Montgomery County, Maryland where she is a member of the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee, representing District 16. She also sits on the Young Professionals Host Committee of the Sewall-Belmont House and Museum.
Almina was born and raised in Southern California. She received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine. She also earned a certificate in Event Management from the George Washington University.
